Thinning Down

A touch of romance,

A moment of delicate waves,

Warbler’s song,

Scrolling love’s curtain.

Alas, today, a few drifting petals

Landed in someone’s courtyard;

Who can bear the old dreams

And new sorrows,

As the willows along the river grow thin?
